Pat Walsh

Pat Walsh is an experienced and versatile trial attorney. Before he worked in criminal defense, he was an Assistant State Attorney. Because he understands cases from the prosecution’s side as well, he’s especially well-equipped to build individualized, robust defenses for each of his clients.
A good attorney pays attention to the details. Pat takes the time to study his clients’ cases and look closely for rights violations, procedural errors, and other factors that may undermine the case against them. He has an NHTSA certification as an instructor in Standardized Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) procedures, so he can determine whether an improperly conducted sobriety test led to his client’s arrest.
In his decades of practice, Pat has handled an array of case types, including DUIs, traffic cases, reckless homicides, juvenile cases, and various other kinds of criminal defense. He has extensive experience with jury trials, but he’s committed to doing what’s best for each client — even if that means not taking a case to trial.
Pat has been a resident of McHenry County for more than 27 years. He’s been married to his wife for 30 years and they have three sons. He is a lifelong Chicago Bears and White Sox fan, and in his spare time, he enjoys fishing, boating, hunting, and watching his sons play college sports.
